The Solution
First-year college students must learn to navigate unfamiliar academic expectations, make informed decisions, and identify resources that support their success.
Presenting information alone does not always give students opportunities to practice applying that knowledge. The instructional challenge was to create learning experiences that connected course concepts to realistic student situations

Project Snapshot
I designed interactive H5P case studies that place students in realistic college scenarios and encourage them to consider decisions and their consequences.
The learning experience emphasizes three strategies:
• Authentic scenarios: Present situations that reflect challenges students may encounter during their college experience.
• Active decision-making: Encourage students to apply course concepts rather than simply recall information.
• Guided feedback: Help students reflect on their choices and better understand strategies and resources available to them.
By using scenario-based interactions, the activities create opportunities for students to practice applying knowledge in a supportive learning environment.
